Dr. Kaul has degrees in Energy
Engineering and Energy Management & Policy
from IIT, India and University of Pennsylvania,
USA. His area of interests include Renewable
Energy Systems, Sustainable Mobility,
Sustainable Development and Appropriate
Technology, Energy Politics in Developing
Countries, Energy Management Problems,
Environmental Energy Systems, Distance Learning.
He is also a Professor in the Department
of Industrial Technology, Co-ordinator of the
Energy Program and the principal architect of
the new curriculum in Energy Technology program
at FSC. For that program, he developed a series
of courses dealing with: energy resources and
the environment, energy conservation, power and
lighting, co-generation and waste recovery
systems. His focus is on crucial issues in
renewable energy and global energy decisions and
he interacts with the World Bank and agencies of
the United Nations on development.
